So my last post was on Thursday after I had my frist mammogram. I got a call Friday morning that things don't look as they should so I get to go back tomorrow for more views. I'm not gonna talk about that now because frankly, it scares the shit out of me even though I know it could be a million things not just the "C" word.
So enough about that.
Today was my birthday. WOOHOO! I'm 37, for those keeping score. You hear that Keeling? I'm not 40, you dork.
Friday my sister took my kids because I was a bit frazzled after the phone call from my doctor. Jeff and I went to dinner and did some shopping. He didn't even bat an eye when he saw me pay for Boo's cute clothes at Gymboree. I guess scary phone calls are good for something. LOL
We also went to Menards. Ahhhh, nothing says happy birthday like a trip to Gymboree and Menards. hee hee We got new lights for the kitchen and a sump pumps for the crawl space. I swear, Mr. & Mrs. DeZarn should NOT be allowed in home improvement stores. We always end up dropping a huge chunk of change.
When my sister brought the kids home they had presents. My brace little sister took my three and her two year old to Walmart. She deserves a medal or something for that. She made all 4 pick out there own cards. Boo and Jalyn got me balloons. I am the proud owner of a Princess balloon and a Tinkerbell balloon. I also got a beautiful vase full of tulips, a candle and a cheesecake sampler. YUMMY!
Saturday the boys both had friends over for the night. Jeff and I ended up going out to dinner with the neighborhood for my birthday. {That would be TWO birthday dinners. LOL} We left Jacob and his friend in charge of Kyle, his friend (who's parents where with us) and Boo. It went very well. No fighting at all. Of course it helps when his friend Casey is Mr. Responsible. LOL
Sunday my grandma brought me over a cake.
Today, my actual birthday, Jeff insisted we go to lunch and check out Trader Bucks indoor flea market. I wasn't too thrilled. I kinda wanted to stay home and have a pitty party because I have to have another mammogram. I'm gald we went though. He bought me an old wash stand for my birthday. It's not in perfect shape and not really old but that's ok because the ones I looked at in the past are very pricey. This one I think was built during the depression, like my parents kitchen cabinets, because the insides are made of scrap wood. I like it, that's all that matters. Makes no difference to me if it is a pricey antique.
He also bought me an old cheese box. I went to get a candle holder that I had seen. While walking back I decided to get the cheesebox I put back too. I get there and the box is gone. I was ticked off because I always do that. I put something back and then decide I really want it and then it is gone. It was gone because Jeff already bought it for me. Hmmm, I'm thinkin' he must like me or something. hee hee
We get home and I log on to facebook and have all these birthday wishes. Made me smile that so many tookthe time to post to my wall.
OH!!! I almost forgot. This morning I went to let the dog in and the flower shop van was pulling in the driveway. My BFF, Dawn, sent me flowers. I got a basket full of violets. Now I just hope I can keep them alive. I need to pull out my garden book and see how to take care of them.
It's been a good birthday.
In other news.....
I was just reading the Fountain County Neighbor (the local weekly paper for you non locals) and there is a picture of the FC FFA. Such a proud mommy moment. There was my son wearing his Future Farmers of America t-shirt posing for his picture with the rest of the club in front of a corn field. sniff sniff It was a touching moment.
Ok. Enough of the bull. Will someone please explain to me why my son is in FFA? We don't live on a farm and her has no intentions of ever becoming a farmer.
Oh. Wait. Nevermind. I remember now. It's what the cool kids do at FC. ROFLMAO!!!! And for you nonlocals, that is the truth. Our school has a wonderful FFA program and all the kids join. I just like to joke about it because we aren't farmers.
No I must end this post because I got stuff to bid on on ebay. Gotta love ebay. Shopping 24/7 365 days a year. YEEHAW!
