No. Not my gray roots, I took care of those about a week and a half ago. My born and raised in Indiana Redneck Roots.
Last weekend we went to see the Monster Truck races. This weekend we went to see Jeff Foxworthy, Bill Engvall and Larry the Cable Guy.
I don't care who ya are. That there is funny.
OMG!! I laughed to hard. I shouldn't have worn eye makeup because I was crying from laughing so hard. Those guys seriously crack me up. We had tons of fun.
Before the show we went to Harry & Izzy's downtown for dinner. YUMMY!!!!!
It's the slightly cheaper version of St. Elmos, owned by the same people. Let me stress the word "slightly". LOL It was a great meal.
Of course, being the total Rednecks that we are, we are eating off each others plates so we can taste everything. LOL
Tonight we had a neighborhood Super Bowl party. Again, more yummy food. I've got a date in the morning with the evil witch Jillian Michaels. UGH! Gotta shed some pounds.
Totally bummin' that my Colts didn't win. If we were gonna lose, I'm glad it was to the Saints. I rooted from them this season. Love me some Drew Brees. That boy is easy on the eyes. Plus, he played for Purdue.
Congrats to the Saints and their fans!
Here's a funny from our snow day on Friday.
The boys got out early because of the snow. We were semi snowed in. Meaning we could leave but it wasn't a good idea because of the blowing snow. I decided to tackle some more kitchen cabinets. This time it was the long cabinets that go way back into the corners. On is so long I have to climb into the cabinet to get to the end of it. Now that's a vision many of you won't get out of your heads. hee hee
Anyway, at the very end of that cabinet is where I keep the stuff that we rarely ever use. You know, cake plates, crystal serving dishes and flower vases. Ugh. The flower vases. So I'm pulling out these vases and they are all dusty, I'm not sure when the last time was I had that stuff pulled out. I pull out the last vase and there is a dead mouse in it. I screamed, jumped up and ran. I am inside the cabinet, mind you. I'm gagging and grossed out because there is a dead critter in my house. Of course, Jeff and Boo come running. I tell Jeff to get rid of it. 'Cause I'm certain the mouse is going to come to life and eat me alive. I tell him to just throw the whole vase away because I will never use it again because it has mouse germs. Boo wants to see it. He lets her see. She puts her hands on her hips. Looks over her glasses to look me square in the eyes and says, "Mom. It's just a mouse." Then gives me a sigh and an eye roll then walks away. It was hysterical.
So now I'm on an even bigger cleaning crusade because there has been a mouse in the house. Tomorrows job has been decided for me. The stove. Behind it, under it, in it. You name it, I'll be cleaning it. Why? Because the oven quit on us today. Lovely. Jeff says he thinks it is the ignitor and will go get the part tomorrow after work. Since he has it all tore apart now is the perfect time to clean it. If I spend all that time cleaning that filthy thing and it can't be fixed or costs too much to fix I'm gonna be ticked off.
Which brings me to this.....I am very greatful that my husband in a machanic and can fix and trouble shot problems around the house. It saves us a ton of money in labor or just buying new. HOWEVER. There are times such as today when I wish he wasn't so handy. I really. I mean REALLY. Want a new stove. They now make the stand alone stoves that have the double ovens. I really want a double oven. Plus, we decided that as appliances die, we are replacing them with stainless steel energy savers. Do we have the money for a new appliance right now. Absolutly not, but it is the perfect opportunity to upgrade and get what I want. Sigh. Oh well. All in due time I guess.
I must log off and fold a mountain of laundry. Everyone be sure to log in tomorrow for a little blog contest complete with prizes.

I know what you mean about handy husbands. Mine is the same but unfortunately it usually results in a huge delay getting anything done around here. We've had to shower in the motorhome for a week when the hot water heater went out because he wanted to do the replacement.
